Masa Modern Homes is a Minneapolis based luxury residential design firm — founded by John Nyagaka and Sherri Beier.  Sherri and John realized they shared a passion for real estate years ago when they first met, and their vision for Masa naturally formed as much of their free time together was spent tracking local residential real estate, going to open houses and eventually leading to Sherri obtaining her real estate license.  

 

John came to the US from Kenya for college over 20 years ago. After graduating from NDSU, he spent much of his professional career in IT consulting for CRM software. While IT was his day job, he really enjoyed spending his time learning the local real estate market and buying investment properties. 

 

Sherri was born and raised in Minnesota.  After college she quickly found a passion for events and spent time in a few states over the years, designing and planning large scale events; most recently at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. 

 

Together they have purchased & managed rental properties, renovated homes, designed modern homes, and refined their processes to successfully launch Masa Modern Homes. 

Considering their 2nd date was brunch and an open house, it’s no wonder their passion for the industry and modern design is palpable and can be seen in all of their projects!  They are dynamic in the divide and conquer theory —- John spearheads all things finance, process and business development, while  Sherri focuses on building operations, interior design and real estate transactions.
